ABOUT US

Kent Uniforms Ltd. founded by Mr Vinod Kumar Chadha, started its operations in Hong Kong on January 1st 1990.

Mr Chadha had the experience and expertise in Military Uniforms since 1977, and initially started off by supplying Uniforms, Headgears,  Badges of Ranks, Camping Equipments & other Regalia Ceremonial items to the UK, from where the goods would be directed to African countries. Kent Uniforms further established itself directly in Africa to expand their customer base locally and become a trusted supplier of all military & civil uniforms & accessories.

One of the major landmarks for Kent Uniforms was on the 30th June 1997, when the British ended their administrative rule in Hong Kong and transferred its sovereignty to China. Kent Uniforms had the privilege of being the first company to supply all the insignia items, which were worn at the handover ceremony, by the entire Hong Kong Police Force. The newly designed coat of arm, “Bahunia” was engraved on all metal buttons, capbadges & badges of ranks along with the musical banners, used by the Police Band during the historical parade.

Following the success of the company’s participation in the handover ceremony, Kent Uniforms went on to become the leading supplier for all pure Silver Decorative Medals with the new insignia for all civilian departments for the Hong Kong government including the Hong Kong Police Force, Immigration Department, Customs & Excise Department and Fire Services Department.

Alongside the continued business with the Hong Kong government, Kent Uniforms now is the leading supplier of military uniforms and accessories, including camping equipment items, such as Webbing Equipment, Camp Beds, Tents, Sleeping Bags etc. and all kinds of Combat Uniforms, Ponchos & Rainwear, Headgears, Bullet Proof Helmets, Bullet Proof Vests Anti-riot equipment etc. to various African countries including Uganda, Rwanda, South Sudan, Namibia & Zambia.
